Tobacco Cessation Clinic

Based at the Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery, the Tobacco Cessation Clinic brings together a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals to help tobacco users become tobacco-free. Using a comprehensive approach to assessment, treatment planning and follow-up, the Clinic addresses the physical, social and behavioral aspects of tobacco dependence.

Patients initially receive a thorough evaluation of their tobacco dependence, which includes an oral cancer screening. This initial assessment becomes the basis for their own individualized tobacco cessation program. Once individuals are tobacco-free, follow-up is provided for long-term support and relapse prevention as needed. The Tobacco Cessation Clinic welcomes individuals who would like to be “tobacco-free.” Health insurance and/or private pay patients accepted.

For more information call Cheryl Ragonesi, clinic coordinator, at 212-304-7421 or email Dr. Daniel Seidman, clinic director, at dfs2@columbia.edu
