The College of Dental Medicine (CDM) was founded at Columbia University in 1917 through the efforts of individuals who recognized the value of a professional education for dentists. The doctors and dentists dedicated their time, invested their passion and staked their own fortunes to ensure the success of the College. A significant portion of CDM's annual revenue has its origins in philanthropic support for the College—some recent, some past.
