Course Description
A comprehensive overview of the essential information you need, from theory to diagnosis and treatment, will be presented over 9 weekend sessions by a select group of nationally recognized experts in esthetic dentistry. For practitioners already doing esthetic procedures on a regular basis, it will enrich your understanding and help take your work to a whole new level of confidence and predictability.

Course Objectives
This course will enable you to

  • Understand and accurately diagnose the complex interaction of developmental, dental, periodontal, and occlusal factors that lead to esthetic deficiencies in patients.
  • Develop comprehensive treatment plans to consistently and predictably meet the esthetic goals of patients and the restorative treatment plan.
  • Integrate traditional as well as emerging technologies and new dental materials into the modern restorative and cosmetic based general practice.
  • Understand the importance of and how to utilize orthodontics, periodontics, oral surgery and other adjunctive dental services to deliver the ultimate esthetic restorations that also provide comfortable function to the patient and preserve dental health.

LOCATION   Courses are held at Columbia University Medical Center on West 168th Street. Room details will be sent to confirmed registrants. Parking garages are located in the neighborhood. A list may be provided upon request.

COURSE STRUCTURE & REQUIREMENTS Courses are lecture and hands-on, model-based format and are open to general and specialty practitioners.

REGISTRATION   The fastest way to register for courses is online. Registration may also be done by telephone at (212) 342-2964. Please make checks payable to Columbia University. Early registration is advised to guarantee a place in all courses.

TUITION & FEES   A $500 deposit is required to secure enrollment. Remaining balance may be paid in full or in three installments on October 1, 2010; December 1, 2010; and February 1, 2011. CDM Alumni and all dental hygienists/staff receive a 10% discount on listed tuition for all Continuing Education (CE) courses. Alumni graduating within five (5) years prior to a course receive a 20% discount. CDM faculty & staff receive a 50% discount on listed tuition rates.

CHANGES & CANCELLATIONS   Refunds are granted only if notification is received at least 3 weeks prior to start of course. Cancellation after this time will result in a $150 processing fee. Columbia University cannot assume responsibility for losses due to participants' travel arrangements. Tuitions for no-shows will be forfeited.

ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education.
