COMMUNITY RESIDENTS RECEIVE FREE DENTAL SCREENINGS AT COLUMBIA’S TAKE TIME FOR HEALTH DAY
The Mobile Dental Center along with Crest Healthy Smiles 2010 participated in the 3rd annual Take Time for Health Day event at Columbia University’s Health Sciences Division on Saturday, May 25, 2003. The Center provided free dental screenings to 225 participants; 25 were referred out for emergency treatment. Crest HS 2010 co sponsored the event with a mouth bounce, spinwheel, oral health education information and giveaways. Over 5000 community residents were in attendance, where honorees included Derek Jeter, NY Yankees; Dr. Allan Formicola, Director for the Center for Community Health Partnerships and Moises Perez, Executive Director for Alianza Dominicana.
