The Division of Oral Biology was re-established in 1999 at the College of Dental Medicine. The Division's primary role is the study and teaching of basic sciences in relationship to dental medicine. The division is responsible for the teaching of courses to pre-doctoral students and the teaching of core courses in basic sciences to post graduate specialty students. Faculty of the division are involved in the teaching of basic and clinical sciences in courses given by other clinical divisions at the College of Dental Medicine. The division has an active program in research which includes the Center for Clinical Research in Dentistry.
