Mandibular guidance prosthesis. This prosthesis is for patients who have had a segment of their mandible (lower jaw) removed. The continuity of the mandible is disrupted. As a result of missing musculature and bone, the mandible deviates toward the defect side. |

Implant-retained dental prosthesis in place. A procedure to remove cancer from the lower jaw called a marginal mandibulectomy was used. The mandible remained continuous. The patient was restored with a dental prosthesis for the lower jaw. |
