The research program within the Division of Oral Biology and the Center for Clinical Research include studies on:

the pharmacotherapeutic management of periodontal diseases including agents which modify the host response to periodontal pathogens

the interaction of oral diseases with systemic conditions such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes

the development of diagnostics for oral and systemic diseases using oral fluids such as saliva and gingival crevicular fluid

the epidemiology and pathogenesis of osteonecrosis of the jaw (ONJ)
