The Division’s mission has evolved into a tripartite commitment to education, patient care, and research.

Our goals are to:

• educate dental students in the fundamentals of Periodontics as well as dentists in the specialty of Periodontics, in a setting that emphasizes sound biological principles and evidence based approaches;

• provide contemporary, comprehensive and compassionate dental care to the members of our surrounding community;

• conduct cutting edge research to advance our discipline’s professional knowledge base.
