Course Description

This Symposium will address New Dimensions in Implantology. The program will review treatment plan selection for patients with missing or badly compromised teeth, introduce novel approaches for esthetic rehabilitation, demonstrate new histological data of the socket-shield technique, explain a new socket classification system and treatment protocol for immediate molar implants, and review recent data regarding options for full arch rehabilitation. The Perio-Implant treatment of a single tooth in the anterior maxillary area will be reviewed, and immediate vs. delayed implant placement will be discussed. The role of growth factors in regenerative dental and facial rejuvenation will be explained. An evidence-supported rationale for utilizing CAD/CAM abutments and full arch frameworks will be presented.

Course Objectives
Upon completion of the program, participants will have a better understanding of the biology of an extraction socket. They will receive practical guidelines to achieve predictable esthetic results, and learn to identify the advantages of using minimally invasive sinus augmentation with its indications as well as understand indications and treatment alternatives for vertical and horizontal augmentation. They will learn about the one-abutment one-time and chamber concepts. They will become familiar with techniques to help simplify treatment complexity and predictably provide an outstanding clinical outcome and greater patient satisfaction.
