Course Description
A comprehensive didactic overview -- from theory to diagnosis and treatment -- presented in a by a select group of nationally recognized experts who will help you enrich your understanding of esthetic dentistry so your work can reach a new level of confidence and predictability. This unique course will provide you with the detailed knowledge and clinical insights needed to successfully incorporate esthetic dentistry into your practice.

Course Educational Objectives
This course will enable you to

  • Understand and accurately diagnose the complex interaction of developmental, dental, periodontal, and occlusal factors that lead to esthetic deficiencies in patients.
  • Develop comprehensive treatment plans to consistently and predictably meet the esthetic goals of patients and the restorative treatment plan.
  • Integrate traditional as well as emerging technologies and new dental materials into the modern restorative and cosmetic based general practice.
  • Understand the importance of and how to utilize orthodontics, periodontics, oral surgery and other adjunctive dental services to deliver the ultimate esthetic restorations that also provide comfortable function to the patient and preserve dental health.

Digital Dentistry

Digital Dentistry and its Increasing Role in Quality Patient Care;

Sunday morning hands-on session includes fabrication of a cad cam restoration from image, design, mill and finish restoration.

 

Payment Details

Full payment at time of registration is appreciated. Individual weekend sessions must be paid in full two weeks prior to the session date. To enroll in the full series, a minimum deposit of $1,000 is required. Remaining balance must be paid in full prior to the first session or with written agreement in two equal installments due by January 7, 2013 and Friday, March 8, 2013. Participants attending 3 or more sessions receive a 5% discount.

Columbia CDM Alumni, Faculty & Residents: All CDM alumni receive 10% off listed tuition; those graduating after 2008 can deduct 20%. CDM faculty and residents receive a 50% discount.

Non-Columbia Graduates/Residents: Those graduating after 2010 receive 5% off listed tuition. Current residents receive a 10% discount. Proof of graduation or current student/resident ID is required.

LOCATION  Courses are held at Columbia University Medical Center on West 168th Street unless otherwise listed. Room details will be sent to confirmed registrants. Parking is not provided for most courses.

Registration may also be done by telephone at 212-305-7124. Please make checks payable to Columbia University. Early registration is advised to guarantee a place in all courses.

CHANGES & CANCELLATIONS   Refunds are granted only if notification is received at least 3 weeks prior to start of course. Cancellation after this time will result in a processing fee. Columbia University cannot assume responsibility for losses due to participants' travel arrangements. Tuitions for no-shows will be forfeited.

ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry. Columbia University College of Dental Medicine designates this activity 10 CE credits per weekend.
