Summer Research Fellowship Program
The Predoctoral Student Research Fellowship program provides stipends for students to conduct research during the summer under the mentorship of an experienced faculty investigator. Stipends are funded by CDM and/or corporate sponsors. The CDM Research Advisory Committee and the Office of Research Administration reviews the applications and selects the students who will receive fellowship awards. All students accepted into the Summer Research Fellowship program are required to write an abstract for the student publication the Jarvie Journal of the William Jarvie Society. Fellowship recipients will also participate in a Table Clinic & Oral Presentation of an abstract poster for the Birnberg Student Research Symposium. Posters are judged in the following categories - Basic & Clinical Science, Social & Behavioral/Health Services/Public Health. Category winners are eligible to attend and present their posters at a national meeting/conference.
Approximately $3000 awarded
*Note: The award amount may be decreased due to the availability of funds and positions available
The 2014-2015 application period will open January 1st. Applications will be due Monday, March 3, 2014 by 5:00pm. (Applications are distributed to all first year students January 1st).
Summer fellowship recipients are announced mid April.
Eligible students must be in good academic standing to apply. Research-oriented first year students are encouraged to apply for these summer fellowships.
