SNDA Columbia University Chapter President
The SNDA & Multicultural Association Chapter of
Columbia University CDM is committed to serve as the
"Official Vehicle" for Community Service at CDM. We strive to
provide the infrastructure for building a support system
and community for underrepresented dental students and to
proactively promote the dental profession to disadvantaged
students with potential.
The
second anatomy test is just over the horizon and the SNDA Anatomy
Lovers are here to provide assistance for the practical exam (and
indirectly, the written test too)!It's
an awesome idea to attend mock practicals since the more practice you
get, the more prepared and comfortable you will be on the real thing.
We
will be tagging structures from the all important head and neck.
Following the practical, you will have the opportunity to revisit each
station and review your answers and discuss them with one of the
dissectors so that you understand why it is what it is.
Also,
in order to take the Anatomy Lovers' mock practicals, you haveto be at
a local member of the SNDA, an organization that focuses on community
service. The price for local membership is $20 if you purchased
embroidary already, $25 for local membership without embroidary, $35
for local membership with embroidary, or $40 for national membership.
If
you have any questions, I'm always available so please feel free to
email me (Evan Tran) at ett2105@columbia.edu.
Event Date: Nov. 20, 2010
Greetings from Columbia University SNDA!
It is time to register for the Fall Impressions Program! It will be
held Saturday, November 20th in the Hammer building on campus from 9am
to 3pm. This year, we will have a small workshop about financial aid
opportunities for dental school. You will also find out how you can get
your entire dental education paid for! We will have a panel of dental
students and a member of the admissions committee to answer all of your
questions. The day will end in the lab where you will get a chance to
make impressions of model teeth and possibly use a hand drill.
We would be delighted to have you join us for our Fall Impressions
Program as it is the most exciting event of the year! A flyer for the
event is attached as well as the registration form. Please register
early as we will grant participation on a first come first serve basis.
On the registration form is a place for meal preference.
