Welcome to the Section of Cariology and Restorative Sciences at Columbia University’s College of Dental Medicine - the home of the Division of Operative Dentistry and the Division of Endodontics.

The section, through the divisions, has responsibility for the preclinical and clinical programs in restorative dentistry, endodontics and the Postdoctoral Program in Endodontics. In addition, the faculty of the section are responsible for teaching the Fundamentals of Dental Materials and Cariology and, with input from the other disciplines, organizing and supervising the comprehensive care curriculum.

The goal of the Section of Cariology and Restorative Sciences is to assist the College of Dental Medicine in realizing the success of its mission to provide a stimulating environment for the education of competent general dentists and specialists and the development of future leaders of the profession in education, research and organized dentistry. We are also committed to providing for high quality, patient centered, comprehensive care delivery systems for the community we serve.
