Year 1 and 2
At the beginning of your careers at the College of Dental Medicine, the Senior Associate Dean for Admissions and Career Planning schedules one-on-one meetings to discuss your current standing, concerns, experience, and future plans
Several opportunities are available for students in the summer between 1st and 2nd year:
- summer research fellowships
- global research opportunities
- cultural immersions
- mentoring opportunities with one of our summer pipeline program
Year 3 and 4
- Lunch-and-learns introducing various postdoctoral program directors to discuss their programs and advise on interviewing techniques
- Meetings for Oral Surgery, GPR, and various other career paths
- Residency application meetings to discuss the process and timeline
- PASS meetings after the Match for 4th years to discuss the experience firsthand with 3rd year students
- Assistance for students with post-match opportunities
- Scheduled individual meetings with the Senior Associate Dean for Admissions and Career Planning to discuss which programs and the application process in detail
