1852 Members Gather for Private Gallery Showing
More than 80 members of the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine 1852 Society – among the College’s most loyal and generous supporters – gathered with CDM faculty and staff on November 13 at the Hill Art Foundation for a private viewing of Field of view, an exhibition of the work of artist Jordan Casteel.
Casteel, a recipient of the prestigious MacArthur Foundation Fellowship, has had solo exhibitions at the New Museum in New York, the Denver Art Museum and the Iris & B. Gerald Cantor Center for Visual Arts at Stanford University.
Dr. Thomas Magnani, president of the 1852 Society, welcomed guests. Dr. James Fine, CDM’s senior associate dean for Postdoctoral Academic and Student Affairs, and Dr. Stephanie Dumanian, president of CDM’s alumni association, spoke briefly.
