The Department of Surgery, Alberta Health Services – Calgary Zone invites applications for one 1.00 FTE Pediatric Dentist. The successful candidate will work as part of the Dental Clinic at the Alberta Children’s Hospital which provides comprehensive pediatric dental care to children with medical complexities within the city of Calgary and surrounding areas. The Alberta Children’s Hospital is a bright modern, family centered facility that is a cornerstone for quality care and research for the children of Calgary and southern Alberta. The ACH dental clinic sees on average 3000 children each year, who would otherwise likely not be able to receive good dental care. The clinic consists of dentists and dental assistants who work collaboratively to support patients within the clinic as well as provide support and consultation to other areas such as Cleft Palate, Cranial Facial, TMJ and identified inpatient dental needs. The clinic also works collaboratively with community dental partners to facilitate patient transitions to community dental care. The Pediatric Dentist will become a member of the Division of Pediatric Dentistry in the Section of Dentistry and Oral Health.
